Project cost controller
We are currently seeking a Project Cost Controller to oversee the effective cost planning and tracking of Capital Projects.
This position offers an outstanding opportunity to strategize and monitor projects, from conceptualization to handover to operations.
Responsibilities:
- Establishing, maintaining, and presenting project-related incurred and projected costs.
- Identifying opportunities for enhancing workflow efficiency.
- Assisting in the creation and distribution of cost reports, including cost control curves.
- Supporting the implementation of robust contingency and change management processes.
- Assisting in the development of Final Forecast Cost (FFC) and proactively addressing risks and mitigation strategies.
- Ensuring compliance with standardized processes, systems, and tools.
- Cultivating internal relationships with stakeholders, contracting partners, and estimating teams to ensure the accuracy of current trends.
- Analyzing and reporting budget and cost discrepancies proactively
Requirements:
- A Bachelor’s degree in engineering or a business-related field. Candidates with a different combination of education and experience will also be considered.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in project cost control, specifically for major projects exceeding $250 million.
- Bilingual proficiency in both French and English.
- The ability to collaborate effectively within a team and influence other stakeholders to actively participate in the cost control process.
- Proficiency in using the MS Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
