Quality assurance manager

Responsibilities:

  • Develop, modify, implement, and maintain quality assurance program plans.
  • Lead a team in applying quality assurance plans and systems.
  • Support analysis, planning, design, implementation, and evaluation of key projects.
  • Apply Lean Six Sigma principles to address issues.
  • Conduct research to understand project requirements.
  • Develop strategies to optimize workflow and enhance performance.
  • Create conducive environment for success through goal setting, measurement, coaching, and communication.
  • Actively participate in Lean Six Sigma activities.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Program Management, Supply Chain Management, Production, and Supplier Quality Management teams.
  • Interact with Program and Subcontractor Management for QA activities.
  • Design and analyze inspection and surveillance processes.
 
Requirements:
 
  • Degree from accredited college or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum 10 years of professional experience in Quality Assurance (QA).
  • Proficiency in ISO 9001 or AS9100.
  • Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office suite.
  • Experience in developing and implementing QA initiatives.
  • Leadership skills and team orientation.
  • Additional Six Sigma/Lean practices knowledge preferred.
  • Familiarity with Program and Risk Management principles.
  • Effective delegation and priority management skills.
  • Proficiency in problem identification and resolution.
  • Experience in manufacturing/production, especially in Canadian military products.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
