Contract administrator
Responsibilities:
- Support Contracts Commercial Lead and Integrated Project Team (IPT) with contractor progress updates.
- Verify contractual obligations and report to Contract Manager.
- Ensure contractor compliance with contract terms and procedures.
- Guide interpretation of contract terms and coordinate changes with Client Contracts Administrators.
- Implement contract administration procedures and manage insurance requirements.
- Process contractor submissions and assess performance for compliance and cost efficiencies.
- Administer change and claims documentation, evaluate variations, and recommend contractual resolutions.
- Review RFIs and daily reports for commercial implications.
- Participate in progress reviews, commercial meetings, and maintain contract baseline.
- Analyze contract risks and deviations, recommend corrective actions, and document events.
- Facilitate project-related meetings, track actions, and support contract administration.
- Manage contract compliance tools and processes, including logs, registers, and reports.
- Communicate effectively on commercial matters, drafting correspondence and position papers.
- Assist in contract closeout and provide expert commercial support to project teams.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Supply Chain Management, or related field with 8+ years of experience.
- Proficiency in procurement regulations, contract law, negotiations, and accounting.
- Extensive knowledge of engineering and construction industry contractual practices.
- Strong oral and written communication skills, with expertise in contract management.
- Ability to interpret and administer various contract types and fee arrangements effectively.
- Proven track record in enhancing project performance through sound contract management practices.
