The Project Controls Manager will oversee various aspects of cost engineering, cost estimating, cost analysis/control, and planning/scheduling, demanding a high level of technical expertise and experience. The chosen candidate will lead a team responsible for cost estimation, analysis, control, as well as schedule development, monitoring, impact assessment, and recovery plan formulation. They will also play a key role in preparing and delivering project cost estimates and forecasts. Additionally, this position encompasses non-routine cost engineering, planning, scheduling, and commercial advisory tasks. It involves identifying, analyzing, and offering innovative solutions to challenges.

Responsibilities:

  • Review and approve Earned Revenue Determination Data, Project Financial Reports, and Charge for Project Working Capital calculations for the assigned projects.
  • Review contract drafts to ensure they include adequate cost and scope definition and meet Project Controls requirements.
  • Coordinate the development of all necessary data to support negotiations.
  • Prepare, coordinate, and lead Project Controls presentations for Techne and client management when necessary.
  • Participate in the development and training of staff and the implementation of training programs, both on-the-job and in the classroom.
  • Direct project control activities and develop, interpret, and execute policies, objectives, and standards related to cost and schedule control and analysis.
  • Prepare the Project Controls plan for the assigned projects.

Requirements:
 
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Minimum 15 years of Project Controls experience in EPC industry.
  • 10+ years in execution project environment with expertise in Planning, Scheduling, Cost Management, and Earned Value Management.
  • Proficiency in MS Office suite and Project Controls software.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Experience with Oracle Primavera P6 for CPM schedules.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks under tight timeframes.
  • Bilingual in English and French.
